Jinsha of
2006 the 1st animation themed by Jinsha, is the 1st aboriginal animated
work penetrated with Chengdu culture. Jinsha, representative of Chengdu,
is promoted towards the youth in a more fashionable way¡ªthrough TV and
Internet. The One Studio cooperated with Sinodoor Cartoon Company on
Jinsha, being responsible for composing background music of the
animation. It tells a miserable love story between Chi and Bi through
war and revenge. This animation is legacy of ancient Shu with
traditional Chinese culture. After a close study of the play, we chose
modern orchestration, and mixed sounds to create its OST. During
manufacturing process, we employed Irish flute, Indian instruments, and
even human's voice besides orchestration and piano. Although Chinese
traditional instruments were hardly applied (only minutes of
two-stringed bowed instrument), the background music is a perfect
embodiment of the theme. The animation adds up to 26 minutes without
human dubbings£¬23 of which is accompanied with background music. Two
primary melodies, standing for War and Love, tremendously impress the
audience from the beginning to the end with varieties and differences.
Moreover, the whole project was done within only 23 days. The finished
audio effect and video pictures are quite complementary to each other.
In this sense, Jinsha is one of the most successful projects we've ever
done. |
